Happy Thursday! Happy for me b/c Michael gets back from Ohio tonight! He's been gone since Sunday. My mom left today after spending a week with us so I'm on my own with Peanut today, and will be on my own with BOTH boys tomorrow.
We haven't done much but here are a few pictures of our activities this first week. A trip to Nana & Pa's for Tyler to ride the tractor and check on the livestock was by far the biggest outing. Other than a maximum of 2 errands a day, we've just hung out at home and done a BUNCH of laundry and dishes :) I forgot how much "stuff" gets dirty with a newborn.
David is doing great! He was loosing weight ( from 9 lbs 4 oz to 8 lbs 9 oz) so we had to go to the Pedi Thursday, Friday and Monday for weight checks...from Friday to Monday he gained 8 ounces so we passed that test! He sleeps for about 5 hours at a time, during the day...at night he wakes up every 3 hours to eat! He wants to hold his head up and will do it for a few seconds then crash into my arm or shoulder, then rest a few seconds and tries again. He's stubborn like his daddy!
Tyler had a rough time during the first few days but by yesterday he was doing much better. He is such a sweet heart and I know this will take time for him to adjust to. He will talk about teaching peanut about animals and tools, then smack him on the head. I think the word gentle has NO meaning for a 4 year old BOY!
I am so grateful for all my boys! The fact that Tyler is healthy and seizure free is a miracle. All my worry about David's birth being complicated like Tyler's was a waste of time, he is an amazing, healthy baby. And most of all to have a husband that is so extremely involved and loving to both the boys is another miracle.
Ok...enough of the mush!
Tyler and Pa rode both tractors until they were soaked with sweat! It was a HOT DAY!!
Typical Peanut pose...
Kristen - here is your brotherly love...a few seconds after this, Tyler got excited and literally jumped in the chair with David...scared the crap out of my mom and I....Peanut didn't even wake up!
Another Peanut original pose...arms up!
What can I say about my mom...I would be lost without her. She helped us so much this first week. She is so patient and loving with all her grandkids. She would jump on the trampoline, dig for worms in the dirt, "trim the trees" with Tyler and still get up at 1am and 5 am to feed peanut a bottle so I could sleep. Everything I know about being a good mom has come from her and the other fantastic women in my life!
That's all for now! Week 2 pics coming soon...
