Random!

We are all doing good! David aka Peanut is sleeping about 3 - 4 hours at a time and seems to be very content other than when he's hungry or has a dirty diaper! Tyler is doing much better adjusting to sharing attention now and is back to talking about how he will teach him all kinds of things!

This is Michael's Dad, David

This of course is my dad Carl Wallace... So this is where Peanut's real name came from David Wallace Eden. His grandpa's seem to be very fond of him already!

This is Tyler getting ready to DIVE into the pool!

How could you not love this guy?

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!! More pictures to come!!

During the first week!!

Happy Thursday! Happy for me b/c Michael gets back from Ohio tonight! He's been gone since Sunday. My mom left today after spending a week with us so I'm on my own with Peanut today, and will be on my own with BOTH boys tomorrow.

We haven't done much but here are a few pictures of our activities this first week. A trip to Nana & Pa's for Tyler to ride the tractor and check on the livestock was by far the biggest outing. Other than a maximum of 2 errands a day, we've just hung out at home and done a BUNCH of laundry and dishes :) I forgot how much "stuff" gets dirty with a newborn.

David is doing great! He was loosing weight ( from 9 lbs 4 oz to 8 lbs 9 oz) so we had to go to the Pedi Thursday, Friday and Monday for weight checks...from Friday to Monday he gained 8 ounces so we passed that test! He sleeps for about 5 hours at a time, during the day...at night he wakes up every 3 hours to eat! He wants to hold his head up and will do it for a few seconds then crash into my arm or shoulder, then rest a few seconds and tries again. He's stubborn like his daddy!

Tyler had a rough time during the first few days but by yesterday he was doing much better. He is such a sweet heart and I know this will take time for him to adjust to. He will talk about teaching peanut about animals and tools, then smack him on the head. I think the word gentle has NO meaning for a 4 year old BOY!

I am so grateful for all my boys! The fact that Tyler is healthy and seizure free is a miracle. All my worry about David's birth being complicated like Tyler's was a waste of time, he is an amazing, healthy baby. And most of all to have a husband that is so extremely involved and loving to both the boys is another miracle.

Ok...enough of the mush!
Tyler and Pa rode both tractors until they were soaked with sweat! It was a HOT DAY!!

Typical Peanut pose...

Kristen - here is your brotherly love...a few seconds after this, Tyler got excited and literally jumped in the chair with David...scared the crap out of my mom and I....Peanut didn't even wake up!

Another Peanut original pose...arms up!

What can I say about my mom...I would be lost without her. She helped us so much this first week. She is so patient and loving with all her grandkids. She would jump on the trampoline, dig for worms in the dirt, "trim the trees" with Tyler and still get up at 1am and 5 am to feed peanut a bottle so I could sleep. Everything I know about being a good mom has come from her and the other fantastic women in my life!

That's all for now! Week 2 pics coming soon...

Hello Again!!

Well...Here are some pics of our most recent adventure. We went into Seton on Monday evening to start the process and found out I was already dilated to 3 cms...so we decided to skip the cervadil and start the other stuff (petocin?) in the morning. Sure enough at 5 am that's what they did, my doc broke my water around 7am...I told my nurse around 12 ish that I was feeling pressure...I literally thought I was have an "accident" right on the bed...So my nurse (who rocked!) checked me and said I was fully dilated and ready to go, but "laboring down" is popular now so we were going to let the contractions help get David down lower so I wouldn't have to push so much...sure enough about 20 minutes later I started pushing and 30 mins later (8 series of pushes) he was here! I will add more pictures and more updates tomorrow hopefully!! :)

This was on Monday, when we were just hangin' out being goofy!!

I couldn't have asked for a better husband! He was up everytime I moved all night long!!

*This is a moment I will remember forever! This is Michael's dad (David, retired anesthesiologist) telling me he would recommend going ahead and getting the epidural...'no sense in waiting!' Thank goodness I listened...little over 1 hour later...Peanut was here!
Apparently, I make BIG BABIES :)

Tyler meeting David for the first time! This precious moment lasted about 2 minutes...then he told me to "put him away"
