We spent some time at Nana & Pa's during our vacation this week...It RAINED pretty much the entire time...but we still had fun.

Nana promised Tyler he could play in the rain...let me add...I thought the kid would get struck by lighting with that UGLY umbrella...I swear! Where ever did he find that? :)

Sidewalk chalk is always a good time!!

This is Tyler in his office..."talking to George and typing invoices" No joke that is what he would tell us!

Nana wasn't feeling well so Tyler decided to check on her! Funniest thing happened when he told her to roll over, he put the stethoscope on her backside and told her she had a pain in the rear! (She of course added, it must be Pa!)

Paging Dr Tyler...has a nice ring to it!!!

***And I will leave you with a very interesting picture...Ladies...don't get any ideas...he's all mine and I am so proud ;)

Finally...Good News!!!

Well, I am apprehensive to even say it out loud but wanted you all to know that Tyler had an appointment with his Neurologist a week ago. At that time he was still having multiple seizures a day so we came up with our game plan and went on about our day. The Doc was disappointed that Tyler was still having seizures but was very happy with our progress (no tonic clonic aka grand mal's for almost 2 months!!). He told us that he was still optimistic that Tyler could simply outgrow these (absence & myoclonic).

Fast forward a week...which marks 6 days without ANY noticeable seizures of either kind. Yes that's right...no seizures for 144 hours straight! I am so grateful...so in awe of what is happening and have no explanation other than we have a miraculous God who is in control of all things and listens to our prayers.

I thank him everyday for the steps we have taken and for my handsome, loving, energetic son. I also thank him for our friends and family who have earnestly prayed on our behalf. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Nana & Pa came over

Hi All!

Tyler is doing well.  He started a second medication about 4 weeks ago and we are building up to a therapeutic dose, 4 more weeks and we will be there.  We have already seen improvement so I am hopeful that this will work!  I know ultimately God can heal him completely and I pray that will still happen!  Tyler is growing like a weed and back to being sharp and inquisitive!  He will be 4 in 3 short months.  It's so hard to believe, but time DOES fly! These are some pics I took while he was patiently waiting for Nana & Pa to get here last weekend.  He sure loves them both!

This was after he woke up from his nap but was still a little sleepy!

He's looking for them out the window!
This is what you get when you ask him to smile for a picture and he's not into it!

Splashing!

Summer fun!  Mike's parents have a pool so we've been over there a few times to let Tyler cool off and splash around!  He has a blast!  The puppy at the end is Allie...super duper cute!!

That's all for now...more to come!

Fourth of July Fun!!

We spent July 4th in Marble Falls with my parents...a trip to the land always means driving something around looking for animals, this trip Tyler decided to ride the "big" tractor with pa.  Then all the kids ate popsicles on the back porch.  The last few pictures are of Tyler feeding Pa some apple sauce!

He absolutely LOVES going to Nana & Pa's!

Catch up!!

Sorry it's been so long since I added anything.  Needless to say we're still battling daily seizures with Tyler, but as I type, I am reminded of how strong he is and that in turn makes me want to be stronger.  I would still cry endlessly if I gave myself time and room to think about the entire situation.  But I know God has a plan for Tyler and I will pray daily, hourly at times that it does not include seizures of any kind. We have a neuro appointment on the 27th and I anticipate that Tyler will be put on a second medication to help combat the types of seizures he's having now.

To everyone that reads this, Thank you for your friendship and your prayers!  Of this I am confident, there is nothing more powerful or heartfelt as a friends prayer.

These's pictures uploaded in the wrong order, I would fix them but I'm too tired to mess with it!! Tomorrow I will work on July 4th pictures and maybe this past weekends swimming pool fun!
I think he was mad that I wouldn't give him anymore cookie dough!

 Tyler's best friend Katie
 Just to cute!
 And so happy!!!

Update...

I will try to make this quick...We've been in and out of the Dell Children's Medical Center here in Austin for over a week. My sweet Tyler started having seizures on Friday of last week. After tests, two overnight stays in the hospital and a day with 11 seizures, he was diagnosed with epilepsy. He has been on medication since we were released and his seizures have decreased but he is still having a couple a day. Without going into too much detail and me crying my eyes out over the computer, we are doing...OK. Please pray for Tyler, he has begun to understand what is happening to him and is at times scared. Please pray for Erick and Mike and I that we would be strong and faithful. I know God has not brought us this far to leave us now.

I promise picture will come...Tyler is too handsome not to brag!!

Caitlin's Birthday

Caitlin's request for her birthday meal was Ribs and Key Lime Pie...

We'll start at the end first...yes...that's my dad, fast asleep on the swing and yes, both my sister and I have these pics for blackmail should the need arise!!  Sorry Dad!!

I also have a not so becoming picture of my sister and my mother checking out each other's teeth...it's super funny!!  My mom made beans and my sister made potato salad, we had homemade fries and stuffed jalepeno's too...now you're beginning to understand the first pic I bet!  We all ate WAY TO MUCH!!!

Well...here she is...my priss-pot of a niece, that threw down on these ribs! This girl can eat bar-b-q like you can't imagine!  But she looks good doing it!!!

And the final shot...notice the HOT PINK nails!!!  True Southern Belle I'd say!!

Zilker Park.

Our visit to Zilker Botanical Garden

This is in the Hartman Prehistoric area...apparently a few years ago, this dinosaur actually strolled through this part of Texas and someone found his tracks...so here he is for all of us to enjoy.

Oh...so handsome!!!

Koi fish, known to Tyler as Opa fish...but make NO mistake...there is only 1 true Opa in the pond!  Whew...did I hear an earful when I thought I had spotted the opa and it was NOT him!!!

What can I say...I had to get this pic, but the poor kid must have sneezed a dozen times afterwards! Oh well, it's super cute!!

And this one...almost makes me cry b/c he looks like a big boy on a field trip for school or something.

Wow...crazy April and it's not done yet!!

Trip to Gigi's...early April!!!

My grandmother always made my grandfather and I sugar syrup to go with my biscuits when I would visit and she still does!  Believe it or not there is something more sweet that plain syrup...don't tell your kiddos!

This is it...like crack for your sweet tooth!!

Tyler spent most of the day by the front door looking for "LADY" or outside chasing Lady with this tractor...she is my grandmother's dog that up until this trip my grandmother was seriously considering taking back to the pound b/c she tears up her yard everyday, but since Tyler fell in love with her, I think she's been spared...for a little while at least!

Of course...had to have a picture with 2 of his favorite ladies...no pun intended :)

URG...Technology

Well, after doing battle with my last blog address for what seemed like forever...I GAVE UP, so here we are at a new one!

Sorry it took me so long, a few random pics to enjoy!

Tyler and Jackie during intermission for Bob the Builder at the Long Center.  They are two GOOD LOOKIN toddlers!  I think Jackie's mom and I are in for a treat when they get older...ladies stay away!!!

Tyler has quickly adopted Mike's 12 year old black lab
Katie, in fact she sleeps with him every night!!

He's quite the bike rider...

Mike and Tyler were looking for airplanes and guessing where they were going this night...most planes seem to go to Marble Falls Airport! hee hee!!
